Although, rumor has it using one will take away the powder’s active ingredients. Don’t stress yourself much over this as it entirely depends on your heat tolerance.
3. Extract
If you are using leaves, filter the tea through a strainer to reserve the liquid. Squeeze the leaves further to make the most out of them.

Don’t throw out those leaves yet; they can be used for another liter of water before discarding. Once done, combine both sets of liquid, and boil it once again until it is reduced to about 100 ml.
4. Getting down to the right amount
Extracting may sound like a lot of work, but the idea behind it is to boil the tea to an amount that should be easy to swallow, given its unpleasant taste.

If you’re not a fan of chocolate, any basic sweetener works, too.
6. Optional ingredients
If you want your kratom tea to become more potent, adding lemon or lime juice is a good idea. Put a couple of drops in the water before brewing the tea. Doing this will raise the acidity and bring out kratom’s active ingredients.
7. How long should it last?
With the finished product at hand, the next question is: how long will the tea’s effectivity last? Shelf life for kratom tea is five days. If you are planning to keep it longer, mixing some alcohol in is your best bet. Adding about 10% should do the trick and will preserve it for many months.
Now that you’re equipped with the proper knowledge to make kratom tea, it is your discretion on how potent or weak you like your drink to be. Achieving balance is key to maximizing the benefits of your kratom tea.
