There are plenty of ways to consume Kratom, and by far, the most traditional method is brewing a cup of kratom tea. Some of the known benefits are lowering blood pressure, easing anxiety, and relieving pain. Check out this Kratom tea recipe and learn how to make your own cup!

Kratom Tea Recipe | The Right Formula

1. Kratom Tea Ingredients

Making a cup of revitalizing kratom tea is easy, and looking for the ingredients is easy, too!

All you need are 10 grams of kratom leaves (ground up into a powder) and 2 cups of water. If you want to make more than 2 cups, you can use 50 grams of crushed leaf kratom powder for every one liter of water.

  • 10 grams kratom leaves (powder)
  • 2 cups of water

Follow the steps below to make the tea, but first, watch our video!

2. Boil water

With every ingredient prepared, next you need to boil some water. Heat it slowly for about 15 minutes. You can opt to use a coffee maker if you are using powder.

Although, rumor has it using one will take away the powder’s active ingredients. Don’t stress yourself much over this as it entirely depends on your heat tolerance.

3. Extract

If you are using leaves, filter the tea through a strainer to reserve the liquid. Squeeze the leaves further to make the most out of them.

Don’t throw out those leaves yet; they can be used for another liter of water before discarding. Once done, combine both sets of liquid, and boil it once again until it is reduced to about 100 ml.

4. Getting down to the right amount

Extracting may sound like a lot of work, but the idea behind it is to boil the tea to an amount that should be easy to swallow, given its unpleasant taste.

Still, feel free to explore, and if you feel comfortable with the tea’s concentration level, you may proceed. If taste is the only issue, we have just the right solution…

5. Getting rid of the bad taste

There is no denying kratom tea does not taste good, but you can sweeten it up by adding some chocolate powder. Add a couple of scoops of chocolate powder, and this should remove the bitter or earthy taste of the beverage.

If you’re not a fan of chocolate, any basic sweetener works, too.

6. Optional ingredients

If you want your kratom tea to become more potent, adding lemon or lime juice is a good idea. Put a couple of drops in the water before brewing the tea. Doing this will raise the acidity and bring out kratom’s active ingredients.

7. How long should it last?

With the finished product at hand, the next question is: how long will the tea’s effectivity last? Shelf life for kratom tea is five days. If you are planning to keep it longer, mixing some alcohol in is your best bet. Adding about 10% should do the trick and will preserve it for many months.

Now that you’re equipped with the proper knowledge to make kratom tea, it is your discretion on how potent or weak you like your drink to be. Achieving balance is key to maximizing the benefits of your kratom tea.
